Welcome to the Website of the 2024 European Mathematical Psychology Group Meeting (EMPG 2024), held at the University of Tübingen Germany, September 04-06, 2024.

Call for papers

You are cordially invited to attend the EMPG 2024. Proposals for paper and poster presentations as well as proposals for symposia related to all aspects of mathematical psychology are welcome. Relevant topics include:

  • Perception and psychophysics, models of cognition and learning, knowledge structures, measurement and scaling, psychometrics, computational methods, statistical methods, mathematical models, ...

Abstract submission

Authors are invited to submit an abstract (maximum of 2500 characters) in plain text (LaTeX symbols can be used). Any one person can only present one paper/poster, but can be a co-author of other papers/posters, or may also be an invited speaker.

Registration via ConfTool is now open!

Fees include the welcome reception, access to all conference sessions and coffee breaks.

Welcome reception at the conference venue "Alte Frauenklinik" (Schleichstr. 4) on Tuesday, September 3, 18:00-20:00.

The scientific program will start on Wednesday, September 4, 08:30, and will end on Friday, September 6, 13:00.

Symposium in memoriam of Allen Parducci

  • organized by Ehtibar Dzhafarov (Purdue University, USA) with Michael H. Birnbaum (California State University, Fullerton, USA), Victor Sarris (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, Germany), Mary Kay Stevenson (California State University, East Bay, USA)

Young Scientists Networking Event

  • Students, PhD students, and Post Docs are invited to this networking event which aims at initiating a discussion about allyship and support among young scientists in the EMPG. We plan to continue the conversation over a joint dinner (self payed) in the old town of Tübingen.

The conference dinner will take place at the Neckawa restaurant (former Freistil) located right at the river Neckar (Wöhrdstraße 25, 72072 Tübingen) on Thursday, September 5, 2024, 19:00-22:00.

Travel

IMPORTANT: During the EMPG 2024 there is no train connection between Stuttgart main station and Tübingen. There is a bus service instead. Buses are leaving in front of Stuttgart main station (stop "Ersatzhaltestelle Kriegsbergstraße"). Follow the signs "Bus IRE 6".

Tübingen can be also reached by plane and bus. The fastest connection between Stuttgart Airport and Tübingen train station (Hauptbahnhof) is the so-called Airport Sprinter (Bus Line No. 828) or Bus Line No. X82.

The venue can be reached via a 20 minutes walk from the main train station, or by taking one of the busses at platform B (Lines No. 13, 18 or 19, exit at stop "Hölderlinstraße", Line No. 5 exit at stop "Uni Kliniken Tal"). For more information see here (in German).
